Vet to Vet Mentorship Program

About 11% of our staff are veterans and we are actively looking to recruit more veterans to join our team. The Vet to Vet (V2V) mentorship is a program that allows incoming veteran employees to connect with our current veteran employees and gain access to many of the veteran assistance programs we have available. The V2V program helps to provide a comfortable, convenient interface to help ease the transition to the private sector.

Once hired, you will be paired with a Veteran Peer Officer (VPO) who will offer time monthly to address any concerns and provide peer-to-peer support.

We are committed to helping you with the transition process into the civilian workforce.

Definitions:

Veteran Peer Officer (VPO) –

a former veteran and current Highlight employee who is willing to provide peer-to-peer assistance to new veteran employees.

  • after six months of being employed with Highlight, a new hire can become a VPO
  • must commit to volunteer at least 12 hours/year to the mentee
