Conferences & Events

Creating the Virtual Advantage

Highlight supports in-person, virtual, and hybrid conferences and events for our federal government customers. Years before the pandemic struck, Highlight was already developing and integrating the technologies needed to stage virtual conferences and events. We recognized then, and have proven since, that virtual event options can provide significant advantages and benefits for our government customers and their stakeholders. Moving forward, our in-person, virtual, and hybrid conference capabilities provide our federal government customers with the ability to choose the platform that best meets their mission.

A Strategic Approach

Highlight’s event management approach begins with an integrated communications strategy that engages prospective attendees across multiple channels. We review engagement at every touchpoint to identify prospective attendees’ needs, interests, goals, and then communicate to them with individualized and relevant messaging.

Staging successful events demands a holistic understanding of the customer, their mission, their stakeholders, and their technology requirements. We are experts at the technical aspects of designing and implementing technologies needed to support speakers, breakouts, Q&A sessions, video production, and virtual exhibition booths while streaming to any sized virtual audience. We measure the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved and follow up every event with a metrics-driven report to the customer.

Case Study

NIH - Office of Extramural Research (OER)

When the pandemic struck, conferences and events had to pivot. Highlight supported the NIH to transition their conference to virtual. Our team targeted researchers across the globe with messaging based on their research needs, interests, and goals. From registration to attendance to completion, we continually supported the researchers throughout event process. Vastly exceeding expectations, 10,000 researchers attended the virtual conference in 2020, and 15,000 attended in 2021 compared to approximately 1,000 participants in person.
